Description

Hydrolysis explores the moment of transition when contained energy begins to release and reshape its environment. A suspended spherical form appears both stable and vulnerable, its surface fractured from internal pressure while fluid elements emerge and flow outward. The central sphere functions as a reservoir—holding, compressing, and ultimately transforming matter.

The surrounding droplets suggest stages of dispersion, echoing the scientific process of hydrolysis as a reaction driven by separation and recombination. Beneath the sphere, the cracked surface and reflective water introduce gravity and consequence, grounding the abstract forms within a tangible physical space.

Rather than illustrating destruction, the work emphasizes balance and inevitability. The rupture is controlled, the flow measured. Transformation is presented not as chaos, but as a necessary condition for equilibrium. The painting invites contemplation of how systems evolve when tension reaches its threshold, revealing order through release.
